Picture Book No 2, not dated, 88pp, illustrated with full-page colour drawings and black & white drawings in text, all by R Caldecott, illustrated endpapers and inner endpapers, light spotting to these, illustrated beige paper boards, spine joints split, spine split across the centre and glued back into place, internally the spine is starting to crack in one or two places but the binding is still firm. There were 16 stories featured in the popular Randolph Caldecott's Picturebooks published 1874-1878 usually in 4 part in octavo landscape. His sextodecimo edition appears to have been published in 1879. Copies of this smaller format are decidedly less common than the orignal edition. Size: 5.5" x 4.75". Illustrated.
