Come c'era da aspettarsi che avrebbe visto nel ciclomotore l'equivalente dei mulini a vento: un pericoloso mostro. Il primo a intuire la relazione fra i mulini di una volta e la tecnologia contemporanea non è stato Orson Welles nell'incompiuto film cui lavorò per quattordici anni a partire dal 1955.
